Exclamation New mods and webadmin staff needed!

Dear BBC members,

We are currently inviting all members who have been active participants with this forum for at least 3 months to apply to become forum moderators and webadmin staff.

Potential moderator candidates must be established members of this discussion board and must demonstrate an understanding of the existing forum rules as well as the good judgment on when and how to enforce them. As Moderators also have the power to edit, move or delete threads, moderators will be expected to be able to exercise discretion, impartiality and responsibility when moderation action is required.

As well as enforcing the forum rules, Moderators should also help and assist members who have problems concerning the usage and content of the site.

As you are all aware, the forum's recent outage and technical issues have caused a lot of disruption to our members and visitors alike and so we urge members with relevant knowledge and experience to apply to become a member of the Webadmin staff. Webadmin staff will be responsible for maintaining the forum software, enhancing forum functionality and usability and maintaining the server backend. This position requires proven experience with Unix and LAMP technology.

Both roles are entirely voluntary so don't join if you're looking for fame, fortune, thanks or kudos. However, if you have the time and enthusiasm to help manage a fast growing and constantly changing online community then we'd like to hear from you.

If you wish to put your name down and be considered for a position as a Moderator or Webadmin please complete our online application form here. Please do not PM any Mods with your application.

Final date for submitting applications will be Saturday 31st October 2009. All candidates will undergo a screening process to assess their suitability and a final decision will be announced around 7 - 10 working days after the closing date.

Kind Regards,
The Moderation Team
