Re: Your essential wardrobe
Now I'm living with my bf I have like no storage space. But at home it was basically like this:
Wardrobe from Left to Right: Left Side Trousers/Jeans ; Formal - Boyfriend Jeans - Skinny Jeans Dresses ; Longer length - Short Skirts ; Knee Length - Mini Shorts ; City - Hotpants Right Side Formal/Going Out Tops ; Strapless - Strappy - Short Sleave Casual Tops ; Short Sleave - Long Sleave Cardigans ; Shrugs - 3/4 Sleave - Long Sleave - Long/Boyfriend fit Jumpers Coats Within those sections they are ordered left-right in order of colour from light-dark. In my drawers I have t-shirts and tanks in different piles of colours, white, black, grey, blue, pink, purple, citrus colours. My lingerie drawers are also coloured organised. Sets are grouped in dark-light order. And I fold my pants in colour order too. I'm a bit anal sometimes. Sadly, I'm not able to be like that here. Really don't have enough space

Re: Your essential wardrobe
You sound so tidy FF, and what a big wardrobe you must have had! I keep making excuses why I can't be more tidy with my clothes. If only I had more hanging space.....
I suppose reading what you wrote. With the ever-changing weather we have there is less need to store things away in season order. And item order seems to make more sense. So do you have to store a lot of your things flat now too? I find its more hardwork than just to being able to hang things up.

Re: Your essential wardrobe
It's funny, my wardrobe and drawers were the only tidy part of my room. My dresser had stuff all over it, same with my shelves. I would tidy them once every few months and it would be spotless then it'd get really messy again.
Yeah I have to fold a lot of stuff up, all my tops and knitwear. It takes up so much space and it gets messy so easily when you are trying to make an outfit and take things out of here there and everywhere. My wardrobe before was a decent size and I stored most of my shoe boxes at the bottom. I was also able to spill over into the spare room which was handy. Whereas my Mum has an actual dressing room. JEALOUS. Now my bf and I share a small wardrobe etc and although he folds all his knitwear and jeans, his shirts and jackets/coats take up a lot of space and so do my dresses and skirts.

Re: Your essential wardrobe
Arghhhh!!
I am having a wardrobe crisis. Just tried on a new dress which I had planned to wear for tomorrow. Its strapless. In the shop I tried it on without a bra. Seemed everything was safely in and fitted well. Now trying on again with an also new strapless bra - the dress seem to slip down a little when moving around. Although its not falling very much, it doesn't look good and I don't want any 'accidents' ! I suspect its the dress which is a little wide and not the bra which is the problem.Should I abandon the idea of wearing the dress, or would lingerie tape be strong enough to hold everything up in place? I need opinions ASAP please! Any you girls think what I should do? Come in Fashionfairy, I bet you might know what to do with this!

Re: Your essential wardrobe
Sorry I only just checked the boards. If it's the dress not the bra that is the problem try discretely safety pinning the dress to the bra (I've done this with a top and it works beautifully!). Just make sure you pin it from the inside of the bra and don't leave too much pin showing on the dress.
"Tit tape" probably won't hold material together. It's only supposed to tape material to skin. So if you are going to use "tit tape" don't wear the bra. But it's cold today so.. I'd go with option A.

Re: Your essential wardrobe
Thanks ladies for your ideas.
I really wanted to wear my red dress which was appropriate for V day and CNY. After a few wardrobe changes in the end up I wore a cheongsam type dress so still felt sexy and Chinese. Less worry plus I agree, for that day need to be much warmer! Paded bra wouldn't help, I have a small back so I expect it still not hold. Plus I don't want anything extra popping upwards! FF would the weight of the dress not pull the bra down if you pin it together? I think the bra fits ok but you know how insecure strapless bras can be. I might be wrong. Gahhh, I might speak to the local tailor or return dress back to shop.

Re: Your essential wardrobe
It shouldn't pull the bra down but it does depend on the weight of the fabric.
I mean alternatively you could've "tit taped" the dress to you and pinned the dress to the bra. Hmm, there are so many options!
