stalked by a girl with a mental condition

I was sitting in the steam room at my local leisure centre. So a girl walks in and sits right next to me and then starts chatting to some guys who were sitting on the other side. You can tell she has a mental condition from the way she speaks and the guys got scared off and left the room leaving me and her in the steam room. She then starts rubbing my back and told me she was wiping the water off my back when I asked her what she was doing.

Luckily some more people entered the steam room and she decided to walk out. I then go into an empty sauna room and the girl is right behind me as soon as I get inside. So she then asks my age and I tell her and she tells me she is 16. I just try to sit in the sauna for 10 mins and stay quiet and then leave. She seems upset that I leave and asks me why and I just tell her I have to go home and have lunch. She then wants to know if I will be there tomorrow and |i just tell her that I'm not sure.

I normally don't have a problem with people with disabilities etc but I did feel uncomfortable. What should I do if she is the sauna/steam room again?

Maybe she was just lonely? Guess she wasnt hot then otherwise you would be in there like a shot

I agree with Fooks, sounds like she's just lonely although it's definately an uncomfortable situation, I wouldn't know what to suggest.

I wouldn't put it down to stalking yet. She might not even recognise you next time and chances your paths may not cross at the same time in the gym.

It is awkward that she is only 16 as well (presuming you are much older). I think physical contact shows that she probably has no idea about rights and wrong. Quite delicate situation. I think its best avoid eye contact when you see her next and being in the room with her alone again. Thats all you can do without flaring up a situtation.

Last time i talked to a girl in a sauna i felt like feinting. She was hot, but i stayed in there far too long and felt nauseous to fuuck so had to leave....bad times.

If she is mentally disabled, the likely hood there would be someone there who is with her. Find that person and explain the situation. As someone in her state of mind i don't think would be able to handle rejection so well.

How did she speak? She may just have a lisp, or a stutter, or have a weird voice or whatever and NOT have any mental condition, y'know.

Anyway, if a girl is making everyone in the steam room/ sauna uncomfortable, then I'd have a word with the managing staff there.

I've known people with lisp/stutters and people with mental disability-her voice and behaviour strongly suggested the latter.

I asked my brother who has been going to the sauna/steam alot longer than me(didn't mention the back rubbing bit) and he was aware of a girl that's supposed to autistic.

For now I will keep a lookout before going into steam/sauna room. I didn't have a problem with her trying to speak to me but it was just the touching bit was that not right and I will have a word with staff if it happens again.

So these saunas are mixed? That's quite unusual. was it in a gym?

i happen to be in the same situation .... slightly though .... and its not at a sauna/steam room ....

basically at my takeaway theres this girl ... perhaps 20 or so .... and every thursday she comes for chips or whatever (its totally random) ....

from the way she talks she may have the same condition ... sorta slow and in parts (hard to explain)

and shes always touching my hands

at first i thought it was just an accident so i ignored it... but she keeps doing it now .... for a about a month or so .... so now i just get my mum to serve whenever she turns up .....

p.s: when ever another customer comes in she'd talk to him, point at me then says "hes my friend"

p.p.s: she always talks to me about her going on the bus ..... she LOVES buses ... she REALLY REALLY does

p.p.p.s: she said i had nice nails

btw i dont see her around as much now ... maybe the odd week or so .....

whenever i hand over her change .... she'd still always touch my hands

Simples! just make the staff aware of the situation and get them to keep a close eye on her, not so much a complaint but tell them she needs supervising as she clearly has mental problems and is vulnerable, if you do nothing she could get herself into trouble or dangerous situation.
