Could you be the British East Asian acting star of the future?
Discover if you have what it takes to make it on our screens and stages!

Yellow Earth (UK's leading East Asian theatre company) and ALRA (The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts) are working in partnership to offer Yellow Academy 2010, an exciting new scheme to introduce British East Asians aged 16-30 to professional acting and performing.

FREE actor training activities are held in Belfast, Birmingham, London, and Manchester from February - August 2010.

Activities in London

Taster Talk: Sat 13 March 2010, at 3pm
Audition Workshop: Sat 22 May 2010, 2-6pm

So who else is in for this? Even if you just pop along out of interest, you might just find the Performing Arts something you could do as a nice little hobby or something that you want to succeed and excel in. Might as well - it's free!

Looks like we're going yumchar before hand too, so it's going to be like a mini BBC PA meet!

Damn I wish I could come. I've got work on Saturday though.

I want to see what an acting career is like. If there was a chance I could get good at it, perhaps I wouldn't have to do some sh*tty 9 to 5 rat race job when I graduate.

TPC - you might aswell contact them anyway just to let you know you want more info. They might have info packs and stuff. The actual Summer school is around July for a whole week.

Oh shizzle I got the date wrong. I thought it was this Saturday. Its actually in about a months time. I might actually be be able to come. Will keep you guys informed.

I have no idea if I'll be any good at acting but I'd love to try it. I'm a loudmouth and quite expressive around mates. Maybe I could take that on to the stage or something.
